Qualified candidate will be involved in the product development cycle at an
early stage and assist in design on functionality and user interface. You will
produce documents for petroleum dispensing equipment, including electronic
documentation and direct integration of on-line context sensitive help systems.
You will need a strong technical aptitude and be able to conduct in-depth
interviews with design engineers, product managers, customer support personnel,
and training manager for development and clarification of technical concepts.
Strong project management abilities to plan, estimate and track projects; meet
all product development schedules and possess effective time management skills
to work on many projects simultaneously.
Facilitate product evaluation by direct interface with end-user, distributor,
field support and sales personnel at Beta Site installations and Customer Lab
Tests and resolve any on-line context-sensitive help system technical issues and
document support requests.
SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Experience with help authoring tools required, RoboHelp preferred.
Experience with PageMaker, Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Adobe
PhotoShop, WinHelp, RobobHelp, HyperHelp or equivalent.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in technical writing, technical communication, or a related
field; or 2 year degree and 5 years technical writing experience.
2 years tech experience writing on-line documentation and context-sensitive help
systems
