Micron Technology is currently seeking candidates for
the position of Publications Resource Coordinator
This position requires an individual to assess, allocate,
work, schedule, and track publication needs in an efficient
and cost-effective manner. The coordinator will perform some
writing and editing duties and help develop consistent publication standards
and practices for Micron and its subsidiaries.
The Publications Resource Coordinator will be responsible for the
following duties:
o Coordinating interdepartmental projects
o Screening and supervising writing assistants/interns and
contract writers
o Leading the Publications Advisory Group
o Developing and coordinating task forces to address companywide
publications issues
o Coordinating training for company communicators
o Pursuing research in communication media and practice,
disseminating that information, and determining the
feasibility of incorporating it in practice
o Acting as a contact point for customers who need publication
services and providing front-end analysis for those needs
o Creating a guide for resources, publication standards, and
legal issues
o Providing retainer writing and editing services
o Evaluating end-user satisfaction with Micron publications
o Surveying company publication needs and developing a strategic
approach for meeting those needs
o Providing a resource for screening potential communication
candidates
Candidates for this position should have the following qualifications:
o A bachelor's degree in Technical Communication or related
field (commensurate experience also acceptable)
o A broad range of writing and communication skills
o A comprehensive understanding of various software, hardware,
and operating systems and their application in writing,
illustrating, and publishing environments
o Excellent interpersonal, mediation, and mentoring skills
o Four or more years of corporate communication experience (preferred)
