Subject:TC Certification similar to CPA? From:Tracy Boyington <trlyboyi -at- GENESIS -dot- ODVTE -dot- STATE -dot- OK -dot- US> Date:Wed, 3 Jan 1996 13:39:48 +0000
I know almost nothing about CPA (certified public accountant?)
certification, so I hope somebody on this list *does* know and can
tell me how it works. My understanding is that you do NOT have to be
a CPA to work as an accountant, although some prefer/require the use
of CPAs, and CPAs probably get paid more than plain old accountants.
Certification involves a test. Is any of this accurate? And would CPA
certification work as a model for technical communicator certification?
