I share your sentiments. Perhaps through the use of this forum and other
methods of enhancing the capabilities of all technical writers, the
profession will benefit as a whole. It will benefit because those dedicated
to improvement will achieve the stature they deserve as professionals; those
not willing or interested in devoting the effort will find other routes to
their own fullfillment.
