This posting prompted me to search my shelves for _In Other Words_ by Alice
Molloy -- excerpts from her notebooks from 1971-73. I think Alice was (is?)
a computer programmer, not a technical writer, but her writings address or
allude to many scientific and technical topics.
Alice gave a great deal of attention -- from her feminist perspective -- to
