The following information is extracted from Frame Technology's World
Wide Web site at http//www.frame.com.

FrameViewer provides WYSIWYG on-line viewing of documents, hypertext
navigation within and among documents, support for on-demand printing,
and graphics imported by reference. FrameViewer also incorporates
audio and video support on all hardware platforms enabling multimedia
elements to be included in FrameMaker documents. All FrameMaker
documents, or documents converted to the FrameMaker file format using
the Frame FilterPak, can be read on any computer platform with
FrameViewer. This capability will also be available for documents
created in the FrameBuilder environment.

FrameBuilder is a WYSIWYG authoring environment for developing
structured documents. The FrameBuilder environment is designed for
organizations with large inventories of documents
that need to be structured and managed as an enterprise-wide asset.
FrameBuilder enables organizations to define the elements of a
document by their purpose and to define business rules that prescribe
for the author the hierarchy, or the required order in which these
elements must appear in a document. By providing consistency in the
order and organization of information within a document, departments
can easily share documents within their organization and can also
share documents across an industry in compliance with an
industry-standard document type definition (DTD) such as a CALS DTD.
FrameBuilder is unique in that it allows users to create
and maintain structured information in a way that is both usable and
manageable. The FrameBuilder environment is easy to both learn and
use. By effectively "hiding" structure syntax from the user and
presenting a familiar WYSIWYG document view, FrameBuilder eliminates
usability issues commonly associated with structured document
products. This capability increases overall productivity, improves
document quality, and results in significant competitive
advantage.
