Linking a picture is straightforward - When you insert a new picture, check
the "link to file"
option on the Insert Picture dialog and uncheck the "Save with file" option.
If you later change the Since Word uses absolute pathnames to link bmps -
anyone you pass the word doc files to should put the docs and the bmps into
the same directory structure you used.
