TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
The 1995 Florida Technical Communication Competition is an annual event managed
by the Suncoast Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (STC).
If you're a technical communicator or a student of technical communication,
then you're eligible to submit entries in the publications, art, online, or
student categories. You don't have to be a member of STC. You may enter work
as an individual or on behalf of a colleague or subordinate.
The deadline for submitting entries is Friday, October 27, 1995. If you would
like to receive an entry/information packet, please reply with your postal
address to tracey_bryant -at- notes -dot- pw -dot- com or call Tracey Bryant at 813-348-7013.
The fee is $60 per entry for publications, $60 for art, and $65 for online.
The fee includes one entrant name. Additional entrant names are $30 each. STC
members receive a discount of $10 per entrant.
Our competition also includes a student publications competition. The entry

Four levels of recognition may be awarded in each category. These awards, in
descending order, are:

The competition judges will recognize one entry for the Best of Show award.
Winners of the DTC award in each publications category and the DTC and
