Thanks for the info. I ended up stating $30 per hour, since 1) I haven't
written anything substantial for about two years and I need the practice,
and 2) the initial release is going to be public domain. It's an exciting
multiuser entertainment package, something that should be fun to write
about.

He didn't blink when I said $30. Maybe I should have said $40! Oh well,
next time. If this goes there'll be plenty of work after this one. Send
job.karma towards LA ;)
