The X-rays, no. BUT the motor that moves the belt thru the x-ray chamber
can damage the data from the strong magnetic field it produces. Request a
hand inspection. I carry floppies in a plastic baggie - just hand it to the
chek-point staff.
I don't know about the laptop.
