They are not just authors of a book; they designed and wrote the original
language. Also, my first edition is "K&R C" not ANSI C, although I know
there is a second edition I am not sure whether it describes ANSI C or not.

The K&R book is still the best book I have read on the language, if you need
to learn C. Its a good book to read just to see what a good programming book
should look like, even if you don't need to learn C.

ciao, scot.
