Subject:Philadelphia area, more information From:Robert W Jones <JonesR -at- ACT-EASTERN-PO -dot- ACT -dot- ORG> Date:Mon, 10 Jul 1995 14:34:00 CST
I am planning to relocate to the Philadelphia area early next year, and to
complicate matters, I am going to make a career change (actually I am
really complicating things by getting married at the same time!). I share
the same type of background as many of you, BSE and MA in English with
journalism and DTP experience, but I haven't had the opportunity to get a
good feel for the working conditions and nuances of technical writing.
I would like to contact an employed technical writer in the Philadelphia
area, preferably in the Main Line/King of Prussia area, to learn more about
the field. My goal is to meet with someone for about an hour to discuss
technical writing so I can determine if this will be a good career change
for me. If it helps to fit into your schedule, we can meet for lunch --
I'll buy. If possible, I would like to arrange this meeting during late
July or early August.
If you would like to share your wisdom, please contact me directly at the

Thanks in advance for your responses.
