The Professional Communication Society of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and
Electronics Engineers) will hold IPCC 95 at the Hyatt Regency in Savannah,
GA, September 27-29. A welcome reception will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 pm on
September 26.

The program includes a keynote address by South Carolina Educational TV
naturalist Rudy Mancke, and 11 other sessions (most featuring two concurrent
workshops and two concurrent panels) on such topics as organizing resources
for a successful publishing project, project management, graphics and
typography, outsourcing, online documentation, usability, document design,
and multimedia.

Cost of the conference is $325 for IEEE members, $400 for non-members, and
$162.50 for retirees and full-time students. The registration fee includes
the technical sessions, the welcome reception on Tuesday evening, continental
breakfast each of the conference's three days, lunch on Wednesday, dinner
(aboard the "Savannah River Queen" riverboat) on Thursday, and a copy of the
conference proceedings.

Dress for the conference is business casual. Savannah's daytime temperature
in late September is typically 85 degrees Fahrenheit, with evening
temperatures in the 70s.

The Hyatt Regency is offering attendees a $113 per night flat rate for a
single or double room, $138 for a triple room, and $163 for a quad room. The
conference rate is available three days before and three days following the
conference in case you wish to combine vacation with attendance at the
conference. Contact the hotel directly by September 5 at 912-238-1234 to make
your room reservations.

The Hyatt Regency is located in the heart of the nation's largest historic
district on the Savannah River waterfront. The hotel is within walking
distance of restaurants, entertainment, shopping, and the major attractions
of the historic district.
