I have the same problem, even when I'm reading fiction (I'll be
reading and notice a glaring grammatical or typographical error and
have this insane craving to write the editor).

I also have a sign hanging in my office. This is a quote attributed
to Mark Twain (and it is oh, so true!!):

"There is no urge so great as for one man to edit another man's work"

I think this applies to the programmer's I work with, with whom I'm
constantly arguing about their incorrect grammatical corrections!!
