Assembly Technical Writer--Micron Technology, Inc.

Micron Technology, Inc., is seeking a technical writer for its assembly
department. The technical writer will be responsible for writing, editing,
revising and formatting online and hardcopy training materials, reference
documents, department policies, and job descriptions in Assembly.

Responsibilities:

o Write training materials, reference documents, department policies,
and job descriptions for distribution online and in hardcopy form
o Review written materials to verify accuracy
o Work with engineers, technicians, and operators on documenting
process and procedural changes
o Manage PC-based documentation for the department
o Edit other technical writer's work

Requirements:

o B.A. in English/Technical Writing, degree in a related field,
or equivalent education and experience
o 1 - 2 years technical writing experience
o Proven writing and editing skills with a high degree
of accuracy and attention to detail
o High-level interpersonal communication skills
o Strong working knowledge of PC or Macintosh
desktop-publishing environment
o Strong working knowledge of DTP layout and design
o Ability to organize priorities and tasks and to manage time
effectively with minimal supervision
o Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Additional Skills (optional)

o Knowledge of performance or instructional technology
o Teaching or education experience
o Graphic-arts experience
