I see three important errors being made here:

1. You shouldn't use Microsoft Word, because it's a piece of junk, slowing
you down and emperiling your data.

2. You shouldn't put any data you care about on the "C:" drive, because
such drive are usually inaccessible to other people who need the
data, and are not backed up properly. This slows the group down
and emperils your data.

3. Documents should not be schlepped around from place to place during
production. It leads to confusion, slows the group down, and emperils
your data. ("I thought you had the real copy, so I deleted mine." "I
thought YOU had the real copy!") The whole project should be created in
place, on a faithfully backed up server disk, on a lightly loaded network.
