Has anybody out there come across a good deal on HP DeskJet ink
cartridge refill kits? Better yet, does anybody know what kind of ink to
use? Don't try India ink. I did, and it doesn't work. (It clogs yer
jets!) Maybe the ink molecules all need to say HP on them?
You're close. It *is* a specially formulated ink. It has to be fluid (? Wrong
word, but close) enough to make it through the jets and dry fast enough to not
smear.
I've tried a few kits. Have stopped. The color cartridges seem to refill OK
(just a minor mess) but the black ones create an incredible mess.
Have fun,
