For some reason jfockler sent the message below to my mailbox, probably in
error. I'm sure he intended to send it to this list since he quotes from
the signature block I have used in posts on this list. So I'm posting it
here for him.
Please don't flame him. He appears confused; from his notes it seems that
my bone-deep conservatism appears like socialism and liberalism to him. I
guess this is understandable. Living in Dallas, the central axis of the
socialistic S&L bailout of the financial empires of the wealthy and home of
many fortunes founded on the oil depletion allowance, he's *surrounded* by a
lot of socialism and welfare --corporate-type.
The only relationship to technical writing I can find in his post is a
reminder to us all: no matter how short the words you use, some minds are
barricaded so tightly that your words will never slip through the cracks and
enter the cranium.
