I'm sure your DTP people would not like to be called secretaries. But
"formatting" is different from "desktop publishing." I didn't mean to
imply that most of the tech writers I've interviewed were skilled DTP
people, because they weren't. They understood word processing, not
DTP. We're talking troff and WordPerfect and Word, not FrameMaker and
Interleaf, or even Quark and PageMaker.
