I think you may well get along with MS Publisher if you are doing small
(and basically page layout) projects. Many projects can be managed just
fine wih MS WOrd, but for complex products with many changes, you'll have
to go with something like FrameMaker. A good indication is to check the
requirements posted for Tech Writer Jobs. I'll enclose a sample for you
from the San Francisco Bay area. Best wishes:
