Think of the slowest person you know. Imagine that person carrying a safe
loaded with gold across the largest of the La Brea tar pits. Estimate how
long it will take that person to reach the other side. Multiply the result
by 3.1417.

Perhaps someone can be of assistance.....
In general, how do you estimate how long a technical writing
project (fx. writing a manual) is going to take?
Are there any industry-standard ways of measuring/estimating
this? Or any half-decent rules of thumb?
