Not quite! The four digit zip code only identifies a smaller area
within the five digit zip code area. You would still need a specific
address (unless your postman knows you real well).

Your second paragraph reminded me of a letter that was properly
delivered many years ago that had only a picture of a dinosaur as the
address. It was delivered to Dinah Shore.

Actually, the most efficent addressing is:

A. Person name
12345-6789 ZIP+4

Yes, there have been some "for fun" mailing done like this, and
they have been delivered. Check out the newsgroup alt.snail-mail for
the folks who try things like this.
