Jenna,

Framemaker is sold by many distributors. Manufacturer:
Frame Technology Corporation
333 West Carlos Street
San Jose, CA 95110
800.U4.FRAME
tel 408-975-6000
fax 408-975-6799
BBS 408-975-6729/6730/6738
FrameFacts (fax) 408-975-6731
Current Windows version is 4.02
Ask them for their new Frame Connections resource guide to third party
vendors, service bureaus, etc. Its a good reference.

I have been using FM for Windows (v3/v4) for the last couple of years. It
has a steep learning curve but is an excellent page layout package for
tech documents. It has true cross compatability between PC/Mac/UNIX and
is the only product I know of that can do this. V4.02 for windows is a
resource hog, so it takes a well equipped system to run it on. And like
all big programs, it has its quirks.
I would stongly suggest classes to minimize the learning curve. There are
many certified Frame instructors around the country.
Good Luck!
