*** 1/3/95 ***** Help Authoring Conference****************************
******* January Help Authoring Conference to Focus on WinHelp 4.0 ****

The Microsoft Developer Relations Group (DRG) is holding a Help Authoring
Conference January 20, 1995 on the Microsoft corporate campus in Redmond,
Washington. The conference is geared toward independent software vendors
(ISVs) writing applications for early release on Windows 95. The goal is to
help ISV get started in writing the Help for their new Win32 applications.

The conference will focus on WinHelp 4.0 and its new features, tools, and
related issues. Specifically the conference will provide an overview of the
new help model, new features, new tools. The subjects covered will include
the compiler, internationalization issues, usability issues, writing styles,
and alternate forms of help (for example, context sensitive help and
training cards).

There is no charge for the conference. Attendance is largely first-come
first-serve, with some exceptions to help ensure that a wide range of
different types of Win32 applications are represented. If you are interested
in attending this conference, you can e-mail a-stacetmicrosoft.com and let
her know. You should include the following information: your name, your
company, phone number, and fax number. Warning: This information is
critical, and if you omit parts of it, you cannot be included in the
conference. Especially don't forget the fax number, confirmations to attend
the conference are faxed, not e-mailed.

If you're a third-party Help Authoring tools vendor, and you're interested
in giving a presentation or showing your Windows 95 Help Authoring tool,
please e-mail Scott Henson (scotthemicrosoft.com) for details on how this
might be possible.

Thank you,
Jerry Drain,
Microsoft DRG
