Paula wrote to request information on storage of scanned images. I've had
similar huge files resulting from storing images with a document. I must
confess that I generally resort to putting place holders into the document
and saving the images separately. Most images can be saved to diskette
and labeled for future reuse. Unfortunately, it doesn't take long for a
hard disk to fill up with graphic images.

Practice makes perfect--or perfectly awful.
It depends on what you practice.
