This is an example of what I meant about doing your own research.

This message from Mr. Meek seems to be about registering a
copyright, which is not the same as copyrighting the material.

Let me know if your get stuck.

Basically, you have to call an office in Wash., DC. You'll get
an answering machine on which you'll leave your name, address,
and a request for the specific material you need. About 3-4
weeks later you'll get the forms through the mail. Fill out the
forms, write a check (usually around $20.00), enclose both with a
copy of the item you're getting the copyright for, and then mail
it off (this is for copywright; I'm not sure about trademark).

If you send a response to me, I'll see if I can dig up the phone
numbers for you. The whole process is relatively painless.
