That's how I've been doing things at Andersen. However, if I'm working on a
document that has multiple bullet point lists, and if *any* of those lists has
an item that runs for more than one line, I add the extra line space between
the items on *all* the lists (only because using two spacing conventions within
a single document may be perceived as sloppy formatting).

This rule does tend to eat up a lot of space in a document, but using compact
formatting in multi-line bullet point lists just doesn't look right to me.
