Checking a little further, I found "haptic" meaning "of or
relating to the sense of touch," but I'm not at all sure that's
where "haptics" is from, and I can't construct a definition
based on it. (Or rather, I could guess at one, but guesswork
isn't how I prefer to do technical editing.)
