I want to describe a situation where disparate software don't communicate
( talk ) to one another. Can I say
"These disparate software packages do not interwork among themselves"
Any pointers?
"Interoperate" is the current jargon for the condition you're talking about, I
think.

Why not say - These software packages are incompatible.
I never use words like disparate, interwork, or interoperate. Uggggh!
