Are there any tools out there (preferably for the Mac) which will allow
me to search the massive amounts of text I accumulate saving useful
information? Currently I have to manually skim all those pages
(saved as text files).

askSAM is a great text retrieval and database system. Includes hypertext
and input templates. Under $100. But only for IBM PCs.
