I'm currently testing two programs: HelpBreeze and ForeHelp. The companies
gave me free demos of each.
For a demo of HelpBreeze, call 408-736-1431 or FAX 408-736-4013
For a demo of ForeHelp, call 303-499-9181 or FAX 303-494-5446
The RoboHelp people wouldn't give or even sell me a demo.
I was really impressed with ForeHelp. It took me an hour to get through
their excellent tutorial, and another hour to create a help system with
jumps, pop-ups, searches, etc.
While ForeHelp uses its own text editor, HelpBreeze works directly with
MS-Word. This makes it more complex than ForeHelp, but you might prefer
it if you use MS-Word to create documents.
For an excellent review of online help authoring programs, see Windows
Magazine Aug. '94 issue.
