How to Produce Disaster Recovery Communications
(SACRAMENTO, CA)QLearn what it takes to produce "earthshaking" disaster
recovery communications materials at the next Sacramento Chapter meeting
of the
Society for Technical Communication, on Wednesday, October 5, 1994, at
Coco's
Restaurant in Citrus Heights. The program starts at 7:00 p.m., following
social
networking at 6:00 p.m.
The featured speaker will be Ana Marcelo, a Public Information Officer
who
works with the Governor's Office of Emergency Services. Ms. Marcelo has
more
than ten years of experience in the field and has covered catastrophes
such as
the Northridge and Loma Prieta earthquakes, the Southern California
firestorms
and the Oakland Hills fire.
STC is a professional organization dedicated to education and advancement
of
technical communicators and has over 18,000 members and 125 chapters
worldwide.
STC members include writers, editors, managers, educators, students,
consultants, graphic designers, and audio visual specialists.
STC Sacramento Chapter meets the first Wednesday of every month from
