October Meeting

CAREERS IN MULTIMEDIA

The San Francisco Chapter of the STC will host a panel of experts who
will discuss careers for technical writers in the multimedia
industry.

The panel will include a representative from Macromedia,
manufacturers of one of the more popular authoring systems for
multimedia. He will demonstrate the authoring software, giving
examples of various projects created using the software.

Also included will be a teacher of multimedia classes from San
Francisco State University, two technical writers currently working
in the multimedia industry, and the owner of a well-known Bay Area
recruiting firm, the latter of whom will specifically discuss
opportunities in the multimedia marketplace for contract technical
writers.

A large part of the evening will be reserved for questions from the
audience.

WHEN: Wednesday, October 19, 1994
6:00 p.m.: Networking and hors d'oeuvres
6:45 p.m.: Program
Meetings are usually on the third Wednesday of the
month
