"A recent _Newsweek_ article reports that some bright 20- to
30-yr-old US Americans are finding it easier to move up the ladder
by taking corporate jobs in Mexico.

This made me wonder, do any of you techwr-lers know of any
Mexican technical writers? Surely some writing is occurring if
goods are being manufactured."

Hi LaVonna,

I know that manufacturing is really taking off (my company works with
multinationals such as AT&T who have subsidiaries in Mexico), but I don't
know what the tech writing market is like. But I saw that Newsweek
article, too, and admit that it sparked my own curiosity about working
overseas again. (I did a brief stint in Germany back in the '80s but it
wasn't in tech writing.) Mexico is somewhere near the top of my list. If I
hear of anything, I'll let you know.
