Several WinHelp authoring tools now offer "Borwsers." Doc-to-Help has what they
call The Navigator. It is like a full TOC to the system that
sits in a separate window and can be expanded and collapsed to show any amount
of detail. When Navigator is attached to a Help system, a
BUTTON is added to the button bar that the user can use to open the Navigator.
Once opened, they can jump to any place in Help by clikcing
the topic name in Navigator. They can also print multiple topics. HDK is another
tool that offers this, and the Multimedia WinHelp utilities
coming out from Blue Sky later this fall will have it. And Windows 95 Help will
allow you to see available topics in all of the Help files on
your computer, if you want to, or to select a list of all the topics in a single
Help file.
