Texas Instruments, one of the world's leading suppliers of
semiconductor components, has an opening for a contract technical
writer.
The writer will assume responsibility for documenting hardware and
software microprocessor products. Responsibilities include writing,
editing, and maintaining user's guides for completeness, technical
accuracy, and compliance with TI standards. The writer will be
expected to coordinate all phases of document development and
production.
Minimum requirements include three to five years experience and
a B.A. or B.S. in Technical Communication or English with an emphasis
in computer science or digital electronics. Familiarity with Interleaf and
UNIX is a plus.
The position is based in Houston, Texas. Contract length is indefinite.
