I've had an editor that used lavender, and another that used orange ink.
Orange (felt pen) with wide
strokes was easier to read. The editor who used a fine line of lavender was
difficult to read.

Personally, however, I prefer red ink. It's very easy to see. (Yes, I've
gotton to THAT age...)
