I insisted that "solvable" was unambiguous while "soluble" was not

** Has anyone encountered "soluable"? At school in New England, I was
advised once that a powder can be (in)soluble whereas a problem can be
(in)soluable. Sounded to me like a good, er, solution, but I don't
recall seeing it in the real world.
