For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
WRITERS: I'm interested in teleworking with 2 purposes in mind:
1) doing some real work; employing my professional background,
interests and skills [[ Interactivity-MultiMedia/Cross Cultural
Communications, Instructional Design/Curriculum Development, and,
of course Writing ]] with an eye toward tailoring information to the
audience - - - - and then, 2) writing about the whole experience.
Can anyone offer some [[ brief! - Pls. and, prefer, directly to me; I
don't want to tie up this list! ]] advice/information/mentoring on an
appropriate starting point, i.e., how to get the word out that I'm
looking for appropriate clients without abusing this list's - exchanging
info rather than running commercial ads - concept?
I'm NOT interested in abusing this environment & then getting 'flamed'
for it; I think it would be intellectually exciting to explore this way to
particularly interculturally, and internationally - which is how
I've been working.
I intend to either post whatever I write to a list (enough people
interested?), or e-mail to those who express a desire to see the
