You asked about Interleaf desktop publishing software. I use it every day (Umix-
based), and although I like it, it has some definite drawbacks:
You can't sort (alphabetize)
The spelling program is REALLY slow
It doesn't handle large documents well (crashes often with documents over 50
pages, though this is usually function of available memory).
It does have some nice features, with automatic TOCs and indexing, and once
you learn to use the catalogs, formatting is a breeze. It also has a nice
graphics creation ability.
