retire or change jobs or spend more time golfing?

This is more than a joke. I met a guy who lost his entire business making
color-correction equipment for the movie industry when some Marketing VP
held up two filters to the light (visually identical) and told the lowly
technician "go ahead and ship it with these that we have on hand." By
the time they figured out what had happened, Chapter 11 was over.
