But maybe you're documenting a troubleshooting procedure. Like this:

If the third moon of Jupiter explodes when you run the floozle application:
1. Ensure that you are entering the correct password
(the one that appears on page 47 of the reference card). Do NOT
enter the password from page 48.
2. Ensure that the large, purple cannon is pointed AWAY from Jupiter

and so forth. Your usability testing has shown that people tend to enter
the wrong password, so you call their attention to that possible mistake.
