Documents from databases using Word for Windows 6.0a
Subject:Documents from databases using Word for Windows 6.0a From:Carl Stieren <ag231 -at- FREENET -dot- CARLETON -dot- CA> Date:Wed, 27 Apr 1994 15:50:33 -0400
Has anyone ever put parts of their documents in a database and then
used the database commandd in Word Basic to produce a customized
document?
We've got two flavors of our product - REXXWARE and Advantage II.
Both are variants of the REXX language. The developers keep
adding functionality to individual commands (the ADDRESS command
does one thing for both languages, but it has a special extra power
in REXXWARE that it doesn't in Advantage II, for example.
A Word document that had the ability to dynamically link with a
single database (Access, Paradox, whatever) would do us just fine.
Has anyone out there ever done this before?
