Several of you mentioned Jonathan Price's "How to Write a Computer
Manual" as a good text. I don't disagree, but would alert the list that
Jonathan has a revised edition (with a revised name)--How to
Communicate Technical Information: A Handbook of Software and
Hardware Documentation. He's coauthored the new edition with Henry
Korman.
