Message:
As I understand it, closure is used by professionals and students
in the social work, psychiatrist type fields as ending an issue. For
example, a person sees a therapist because the person is having
problems with relationships. The therapist helps the person identify
the issues that contribute the the person's relationship problems.
As each issue is identified, the therapist helps the person to put
the problem in perspective so that it is no longer a problem. Moving
the issue from "problem" to a more positive space puts "closure" on
the issue.
