I vote just the opposite of Kim. Having been away for a few days and then
having to read/remove all these messages that don't necessarily need to go
to the entire list is really a pain.

Besides, if someone is going to flame, they can flame to the individual and
have to think twice or three times before sending it to the entire list and
cluttering up my/everyone's mailbox.

I appreciate the courtesy of those who ask questions ("have you ever heard
of" or "how do you do this") and then offer to post the results to the
list. If the sender doesn't offer to post to the list, I fire off a
separate email asking the sender to send me a posting. I like having the
control and I thank Eric for doing what he did.
