Dorothy,
Try the Medical Writers association. We also have
Canadian Science Writers and a Society of Technical Editors
here; there is probably something analagous in the U.S.

Try the library for a directory of associations.

Check for medical journals.

Target likely organizations such as pharmaceutical
companies (many of them rolling in money), bioengineering
firms, and the like. The library will also have
directories or surveys of companies.
