Faxes are maddening if you use one on the same line as your telephone. Many
faxes have built-in switches that distinguish in some way between phone and
fax calls, but I found that the very best solution, if you're not using a
separate line for the fax, is either to use a fax with a phone machine built
right in, instead of one that allows you to use a separate phone machine, or
get the ASAP TF 300Plus, by Command Communications Inc, 303-750-6434. It's the
only switch that recognizes a fax signal properly.
