No, I usually tell them that I'm a writer. If that catches their
interest, they'll ask about genre and audience; that's when I
explain about technical writing/communication.

If they're still interested, female, and cute, I'll ask them if
they'd like to come up and see my manuscripts.... ;-)

(No, honey, I was joking! *BAM!* Ouch! *WHAP!* Aieee! *POW!*)

Wives have _no_ sense of humor..... ;-)
