I'll put in my vote for FrameMaker too. I've been using it for a couple of
years (after having rejected Interleaf for many of the reasons others have
already given). I've produced an entire UNIX manual with FrameMaker and
getting all the chapters, cross references, notes, etc. together was fairly
easy. We are moving toward producing all our documents with FrameMaker.
